Rachael Ray Lasagna Lover's Baking Dish Giveaway

I'm pretty psyched to get the opportunity to offer this giveaway to you! This was made possible to me by CSN Stores, which operates a plethora of online stores full of great things for your home from mailboxes to waterbeds.

What we have up for grabs is this Rachael Ray Lasagna Lover and 2 Piece Bubble and Brown Individuals.

Aren't they just the bees knees?  I saw them and just fell in love.  I've never actually owned one so I can't give you a review, but if nothing else they look fabulous!  I know I'd be tickled to serve my semi world famous lasagna in this beautiful dish.

Here are the specs:

Includes:
  • Two - 12 ounce Bubble & Brown™
  • One - 9"x13" Lasagna Pan
Features:
  • Multiple Use Stoneware - Dishwasher, microwave, freezer safe and oven safe to 500°F for convenience and versatility
  • Glazed interior is nonporous so foods won't interact
  • Contemporary Design - Contemporary, playful shape in a vibrant and fun color goes directly from oven to table
  • The shallow sides result in crunchy tops for each serving
  • Wide Handles - Extra wide handle holes allow you to get a good grip from any angle

Now it's time for (drumroll please)  da rules:
1. It looks like CSN ships to the US and Canada, not including Alaska and Hawaii.
2. Giveaway will run through this Saturday (Feb 20) at midnight.  Winner will be chosen by the random number thingy and announced Sunday-ish.
3. Be sure I'm able to contact you.
4. To enter leave me a comment telling me where you found your favorite recipe for lasagna or your favorite place to go eat it.  (If you don't like lasagna you're disqualified, sorry!)

Thanks for playing, and good luck!

Winner Time

Hey everybody...it's time to announce the winner of my dessert themed giveaway.
First I want to apologize that I didn't offer it to all you good folks not in the US. I really am way too cheap but hopefully my undying love and devotion will make up for lack of contest entries. Or maybe I'm full of crap.
What's this giant cupcake got to do with anything? Nothing really, but it is dessert, and it made me happy when I saw it so it had to come home with me.
So according to the random number thingy entry #29 is the winner.
And that would be reylte@gmail.com.
I'll be emailing you to let you know you won and will send your loot your way!
Thanks so much to everyone for playing.
Here's a pic of a new friend I made on our recent camping trip. He was hanging out in the women's bathroom. Or maybe he's a she! After seeing this guy, my daughter decided peeing was not really necessary after all.
Next time I'll ask for the tarantula-free campground.

Giveaway Time

Haven't I heard someone prattling on recently about a giveaway? Oh yeah, I think that was me. I'm finally getting off my lazy rear and getting it done. (well actually I'm on my rear since I'm at the computer, but you know what I mean)
Since I'm a big fan of dessert (as evidenced by the rear of which I was just speaking), let's go with a dessert themed giveaway. I found these cute little dessert plates at Big Lots some high dollar swanky store and got a set for you and one for me! It's a set of 6, two of each design shown here. Just think...you and I could be eating dessert off the same plates at the same time! It boggles the mind!
I think there's an 88.3% chance I can get these mailed to you mostly unbroken. No promises though.
And to sweeten the pot (get it?) I'm adding a couple of dessert related items too. A package of sugar cookie mix for when you need dessert and you need it NOW! Sprinkles to decorate those cookies. And a little dessert cookbook from Prevention. (yeah, that seemed ironic to me too, but whatever) Whoever wins the book will need to make what's on page 13 and get it to me right away. Seriously.
Rules:
1. Just leave a comment telling me your favorite dessert. If you say you don't like sweets you will be immediately disqualified.
2. Gotta keep it in the continental US again. I'm extraordinarily cheap.
3. Make sure I can contact you somehow.
4. Contest ends Thursday July 23rd at midnight. My time. Whatever that is.
Anyway thanks to everyone of you who have visited my blog and said nice things. Comments are almost as good as dessert!

Country Bob's Hawaiian Burger and a Giveaway

I was recently contacted by a representative of Country Bob's to see if I would like to try their All Purpose sauce and review it, and of course, I was happy to do it!

I decided to make a Hawaiian burger like I used to get at Backyard Burgers when I lived within driving distance of one. I really miss Backyard Burgers. But I digress.....

I'd like to say how much of the sauce I put in here, but that would be impossible since there was no actual measuring involved. I'd say I put a fair amount, if that helps at all. The sweet tangy taste of the Country Bob's really added something to the Hawaiian-ness I thought, and made it much like those burgers I've been missing.

Now for the giveaway....

The folks at Country Bob say they will send 2 bottles of their product to 2 of you. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your deepest darkest secret your favorite way to fancy up a burger. This contest will run through Sunday (april 26) at midnight and I'll announce the winner sometime Monday. Probably. Once the winners get back to me with their mailing info I'll pack up my things and move in with them. I mean, I'll get the info to Country Bob's and they will ship your sauce!

P.S. I really DON'T want to know your deepest darkest secrets, just to be clear.

We Have a Winner

Little Fishy says "You're a lot luckier than me....you're the winner" Finding Normal! (don't worry, this fish went back into the water) The winner was chosen using a random number generator inside my daughter's head. I'll send you an email letting you know you won my giveaway and then I'll send your loot your way. And if you all stop following me because the contest is over, I'll cry like a baby! BTW...you people listen to music I've never heard of. I'm so out of touch!

Fabulous Giveaway Time

It's finally here...my 100th post! You've been waiting, losing sleep, daydreaming about it, and it's finally here. Who woulda thunk I could blather on about nothing 100 times?? Well, my husband may have had a clue.
I'll keep in you suspense no longer...here's the loot.
I've been eyeing these little animal shaped gadgets at Target for quite some time and started collecting them for one of you a few weeks ago. We have the veg-hog veggie brush, the monkey vegetable peeler, and my favorite, the shark paring knife.
And as a bonus you'll get this tiny little kit from Avon with a pumice stone, little brush, and tiny baby mesh scrubby thing. I suppose you could scrub your earlobes with it.

And as another bonus I'm planning to throw in my favorite candy bar ever. (two of them actually) I was unable to buy one to take a picture, because it wouldn't last that long around me. The package says it's 3 servings in one bar....poppycock!

Okay...I guess this is where the how-to's go: 1. As much as I'd like to offer this to the entire universe, I'd better keep it available to the continental US only. I really don't want to find out how much it costs to mail a tiny loofah to Zimbabwe. 2. For one entry just leave me a comment telling me your favorite song. (yeah, I know that's got nothing to do with anything) 3. For a second entry, FOLLOW ME! And leave another comment letting me know if you did (or if you already do) 4. This contest will run until this Saturday (March 28) at midnight. I will announce the winner sometime Sunday afternoon. Or sooner if I'm not a complete slacker. 5. Make sure I have some way to reach you!

That's it...just a little something to say thanks for hanging out with me for 100 posts!

Oh yeah, and my favorite song is Brandy by Looking Glass. Yes, I AM old.

Contest Alert

I just got word that the makers of Boboli pizza crusts are having a contest! They want you to come up with an original pizza inspired by your favorite football city.
It only runs through the end of the month so I wanted to let you know so you can be thinking of what your creation will be.
The winner will receive a $5,000 TV room makeover, and semi-finalists will win tailgating tools. I've never been tailgating so maybe it's time!
(I'll take one of these, please)
You can click on the picture of the pizza crust above to take you to their site for complete rules and submission details.
They were nice enough to rush over my very own pizza crust so I'm planning what I'm going to make, which might involve getting to know a little more about the NFL.
