I saw these little cupcakes that look like corn on the cob in a magazine last summer and thought they were the cutest things. The girl had a friend over and so it seemed like a good time to make cupcakes and do some decorating.
Below are the girls working hard on their creations, and what they came up with.
We also had "do-it-yourself" pizza. I used the same recipe for crust from when I made skillet pizza. Sans the skillet.
Actually, this one was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. And I've been eating a lot of pizza!
Thanks for the nice words :)
ReplyDeleteCool cupcakes, yummy pizza. I should be at your house!

The corn kernels are made from jelly bellies.

ReplyDeleteAh I have that same magazine. Whenever I see cute cupcake decorating ideas I rip the page out and add it to my cookbook collection. LOL

I saw those cuppies too and yours turned out so, so cute! You are a good Mom!
ReplyDeleteJulie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting! Are those just buttered popcorn jelly bellies on the cupcakes? How totally clever! What is the "butter" part?
Yes those are mostly popcorn jelly bellies with a few other flavors mixed in to give it different shades of yellow. The butter is starburst.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! You did a fantastic job, Julie! You go girl!
