Just a short lame-o post with one lame-o picture, but the chili my friends, is far from lame-o.
Usually my chili consists of ground beef, beans, tomatoes, onions, and a packet of chili seasoning off the grocery store shelf and maybe some bell pepper if I'm feeling ambitious. And I'm okay with that.
But I saw this at Gonna Want Seconds, and knew I had to try it.
I think you should too. That is if you're into spicy, smoky, sweet deliciousness. And I think you are.
Go check out Kathleen's recipe and be in chili bliss.
There's nothing lame about this post. But I can't say I've ever had chili on pasta before!
ReplyDeleteChili with noodles sounds like a winning combination to me!
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm in love with this one! I'm contemplating another batch...soon!
ReplyDeleteChili on top of Spaghetti...WOW!
ReplyDeleteGoods pretty good to me!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing lame is the noodles cause they look kinda limp!
My husband lived in Ohio for many years. He loves Cincinnati chili. I on the other hand..LOL..can't stand it..the smell, the taste. Bleh. I like my chili spicy.
ReplyDeleteAnother way to top Cincinnati chili is with oyster crackers. My mother in law makes this for my husband and then freezes it so I don't have to smell it because she cooks it and he eats it when I'm at school or whatever. LOL
I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it by me saying I don't like it. It's a very different tasting chili because of the spices used..like cinnamon and cocoa. Guess my tastebuds are picky. ;)
Mouth-watering! How unique to put it over pasta.
ReplyDeleteI love chili and actually I have had it with pasta many times. My boyfriends parents are both from Cinncinnatti and we love it with pasta! Looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to make cincinnati chili ever since seeing it on Kathleen's blog! Looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI've never eaten Cincinatti Chili because I was never sure about the spaghetti noodle/chili combo. But I just need to get over it, a whole region of the country can't be wrong about this right? Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe chili sounds really yummy and especially with the pasta!
ReplyDeleteInteresting chili...honestly I never made chili...now it is a must...yummie!
ReplyDeleteI have heard that there were people in the States that put chili on pasta.. now I have met one! Looks yummy.
ReplyDeletei don't see lame-o, i see delicious! great dish!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of chili!!
ReplyDeletei always thought that chili over spaghetti would be weird and unappetizing. then i had some, and i've never looked back. delicious (and not the leasy bit lame-o).
ReplyDeleteI am a chili addict.

I've heard about this on the food network. It was popular in some state, I can't remember which one. Now I've gotta try it!
ReplyDeleteGrins. I suppose using chili instead of spaghetti sauce is excellent; it's just spaghetti sauce on steroids, in a manner of thinking, LOL Delicious post.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice chili. Have you ever tried it with elbow macaroni casserole style?
ReplyDeleteI've had my regular chili on elbow macaroni, love it! Apparently people think chili with pasta is bizarre :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the great chili recipe. Must try it.
