Kitty Cookie Pops (umm...yeah)

So I was feeling a little psychotic creative this evening, wanting to get into the spirit of the upcoming season. Nothing says autumn like dessert on a stick. I thought of cake pops but the only time I ever had them I thought they were disgusting. But ya can't go wrong with sugar cookies. Or can you....
I'm pretty sure Bakerella doesn't put up with this crap.
Seriously.
Well, they tasted okay anyway ...
After we picked off the yucky candy corn.

  1. Me no likey candy corn either. I like the ones with the chocolate flavored bottom, but then I only eat the chocolate part and throw the rest away- ha!

Your kitty cookie pops are cute. I bet the kiddos liked them.

Did you bake the cookies with the sticks in the cookie? Or did you try and insert the stick after they were baked?

  2. I put the sticks in before baking. And it's better to put a smaller ball of dough on to prevent mishaps as shown in exhibit b and c.

  6. LOL- I had a creative moment like this over the weekend. I tried making the great pumpkin cake (yet to be posted). I've been wanting to try the cookies on a stick idea. I like your tip about making the cookies smaller. I think your kitties turned out really cute and I bet the kids loved them !!

  8. LOL, despite your mishaps they looked cute. I'll be honest anytime I try to get creative I just wind up kicking myself. I'm just not patient enough for it.
