So I was feeling a little psychotic creative this evening, wanting to get into the spirit of the upcoming season. Nothing says autumn like dessert on a stick. I thought of cake pops but the only time I ever had them I thought they were disgusting. But ya can't go wrong with sugar cookies. Or can you....
I'm pretty sure Bakerella doesn't put up with this crap.
Seriously.
Well, they tasted okay anyway ...
After we picked off the yucky candy corn.

Me no likey candy corn either. I like the ones with the chocolate flavored bottom, but then I only eat the chocolate part and throw the rest away- ha!
Your kitty cookie pops are cute. I bet the kiddos liked them.
Did you bake the cookies with the sticks in the cookie? Or did you try and insert the stick after they were baked?
I put the sticks in before baking. And it's better to put a smaller ball of dough on to prevent mishaps as shown in exhibit b and c.
cute kitties!
Oooh - clever stuff!
I cannot wait until noggin starts playing the candy corn song! My son has always loved it and we have spent lots of time on youtube watching the video! The kitties look so cute. What a great treat to send for school parites!
Must put sticks in before baking but they turned out cute!
Ohh thanks for getting that damn Noggin song in my head!!
Cute cookies. I havent attempted the cookie on the stick thing yet
LOL- I had a creative moment like this over the weekend. I tried making the great pumpkin cake (yet to be posted). I've been wanting to try the cookies on a stick idea. I like your tip about making the cookies smaller. I think your kitties turned out really cute and I bet the kids loved them !!
hehee, they are so lovely!
have a great monday!

too cute!
LOL, despite your mishaps they looked cute. I'll be honest anytime I try to get creative I just wind up kicking myself. I'm just not patient enough for it.

i think yours are just as lovely than bakerella's!!
I went through a period in hs when I was always buying cookie bouquets for occasions. The damn cookies always fell off the stick, and then the people got mad when I went back!

It was worth trying. And no, Bakerella would not put up with that. ;)
Well, they are cute! Now... that coconut cream pie down there. It's callin' my name!!
HOW CUTE!!!!! Seriously cute! I'm with you, I don't like candy corn either. They are good for decorating.

I've always wanted to try making cookie pops. I think yours are adorable. At least you tried and you learned something, and now I did too, grins.
Adorable!
Those are really cute! Perfect for Halloween! I'm glad you showed the perfect product as well as the not so perfect process. Bakerella is a decorating goddess! I'd like to see some of her failures!
Oh, I think they're cute! Good work.
These are adorable! And I DO like candy corn...in a bowl with honey roasted peanuts- tastes like a payday candybar.
That is too funny...sorry!
