Giveaway Time

Haven't I heard someone prattling on recently about a giveaway? Oh yeah, I think that was me. I'm finally getting off my lazy rear and getting it done. (well actually I'm on my rear since I'm at the computer, but you know what I mean)
Since I'm a big fan of dessert (as evidenced by the rear of which I was just speaking), let's go with a dessert themed giveaway. I found these cute little dessert plates at Big Lots some high dollar swanky store and got a set for you and one for me! It's a set of 6, two of each design shown here. Just think...you and I could be eating dessert off the same plates at the same time! It boggles the mind!
I think there's an 88.3% chance I can get these mailed to you mostly unbroken. No promises though.
And to sweeten the pot (get it?) I'm adding a couple of dessert related items too. A package of sugar cookie mix for when you need dessert and you need it NOW! Sprinkles to decorate those cookies. And a little dessert cookbook from Prevention. (yeah, that seemed ironic to me too, but whatever) Whoever wins the book will need to make what's on page 13 and get it to me right away. Seriously.
Rules:
1. Just leave a comment telling me your favorite dessert. If you say you don't like sweets you will be immediately disqualified.
2. Gotta keep it in the continental US again. I'm extraordinarily cheap.
3. Make sure I can contact you somehow.
4. Contest ends Thursday July 23rd at midnight. My time. Whatever that is.
Anyway thanks to everyone of you who have visited my blog and said nice things. Comments are almost as good as dessert!

    although I am not in the US and I'm not really qualified to join I'm gonna tell you what my fave desserts are: It's creme caramel, ice cream and chocolates!!

    I'm not qualified to win either since I'm in Norway but my favorite dessert is something very easy; warm home made chocolate chip cookies. You know.. straight out of the oven, yum!

    It is so hard to tell you what my favorite dessert is because I will eat anything with sugar, but I would have to say that I love pistascio ice cream with hot fudge sauce.

    I love the home-made ice cream my grandpa used to make!! I also love peppermint stick ice cream in the winter and strawberry shakes in the summer. Man I sound like a pig :)

    hmmmm..favorite dessert? Can I say all of them? Well if I have to narrow it down to one, I would say tight now I am digging frozen chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick!!! Heaven I tell you, HEAVEN

    I love these plates!

    My favorite dessert is a simple strawberry cake I make- with just boxed cake mix and cool whip/vanilla pudding for the icing. great summer dessert

    oooh I want these! my fave dessert is lava cake -- warm with a dollop (OK big scoop) of vanilla bean ice cream on top.

    peppermint bon bon ice cream.....I used to work in an ice cream parlor. I think that is why I developed a passion for ice cream~~

    those are the cutest plates ever. i can't believe you got them at a "high dollar swanky store" what a steal.

    i love cheesecake. i like to keep it simple with just cherries on top. i could eat it forever.

    You're so kind to give away those cute plates. They are adorable! Man, how I wish I wasn't in Canada :(
    My favourite dessert is... fruit salad!!!! I know, I know, lame... but no moist cake, fudgey brownie, creamy ice-cream, chewy cookie, or sweet custard will satisfy me more than a big bowl (and I'm talking HUGE) of seasonal fresh fruit, with a skirt of lemon juice, a few mint leaves, a drizzle of honey... Just can't be beat!

    Desserts are one of my favorite things! Like, I am not just saying that! I have SUCH a sweet tooth. I workout JUST to support my eating habit of sweets.
    Hmmm, today my favorite dessert will be peanut butter cookies, because I haven't had a good homemade one in a loong time. Yum!

    LOL! Well, I have no fear of disqualification with those rules! HA! My favorite desserts are ice cream and cupcakes! I love the little things, what can I say? I'm a candy girl, too! I love jelly beans and gummy bears, and sour anything! LOL!

    Banana tarte tatin. It's my new favourite since first making it last Thursday. Lemon meringue roulade and apple tarte tatin is fast behind though.

    Love it when you said "if you don't like sweets you are disqualified" - Awesome and thanks for the big laugh this morning. Right now my favorite dessert is the pastel vasco I made on my blog. It's like a pound cake with a fruit jam inside and a sugar crust on the top....DELICIOUS. I about ate the whole loaf myself. What a great giveaway.

    Oh god, I have to choose? I GUESS I'd have to say creme brulee. Something about that rich coolness of the custard against the warm crunchiness of the carmalized sugar. Absolute heaven!

    Chocolate fudge cake with raspberry coulis and chocolate ganache, with a dollop of whipped cream and coffee.

    Favorite dessert?? OMG.. so hard to choose.. One of my very favorites though is toasted homemade poundcake.. warmed up.. with vanilla bean ice cream, homemade hot fudge sauce, freshly whipped cream with some toasted nuts and a cherry:) We are talking bliss..

    OK this is easy. My fave dessert is Tiramisu! I like the real honest to goodness one. Not the commercially made ones. I love Tiramisu as you can tell :)
