Onion Dip

I found this recipe at Closet Cooking, and had been looking for an opportunity to try it out. His recipe calls for vidalias but I couldn't find any, so I just used the regular yellow onions I already had. Seemed to turn out just fine. I thought it was really yummy, but I might leave the mayo out next time. Just make it all cream cheese and parmesan.
I spent this morning making another diaper cake for a friend at work. I wasn't feeling especially inspired, but had to get it done anyway, so this is what I came up with.

  8. The dip looks yummy. I have no self control when it comes to french onion dip and chips, and this looks hundreds of times better than that, so it could be dangerous for me.

  10. Hi Julie!
I meant to write you earlier today to ask your advice on something, but I got distracted...
I am going to make something to take to an office of about 40 people to thank them for helping out with Relay. I thought I would make things for them to have at their morning break. Can you give me some ideas? All I have come up with are muffins, sausage balls and your wonderful FRUIT salad! What else? or what instead?
Thanks for your comment...he really IS quite the 13 month old HUNK!

If that diaper cake is your 'uninspired' effort... whoa! It's awesome.

  17. I can't believe that you were able to pull together that diaper cake, given that you weren't feeling inspired. Your efforts here beat my best attempt on my best day. Seriously. I loved what you created. Your co-worker is one lucky gal.

  18. that sounds decadent and delicious! I'm impressed with the diaper cake, I wouldn't have a clue how to assemble that, but I do enjoy that game at a baby shower.
