I found this recipe at Closet Cooking, and had been looking for an opportunity to try it out. His recipe calls for vidalias but I couldn't find any, so I just used the regular yellow onions I already had. Seemed to turn out just fine. I thought it was really yummy, but I might leave the mayo out next time. Just make it all cream cheese and parmesan.
I spent this morning making another diaper cake for a friend at work. I wasn't feeling especially inspired, but had to get it done anyway, so this is what I came up with.

Oooooh, the dip looks delish - of course, you could put cream cheese in anything and I'd adore it!
I love that diaper cake. That's so creative. Good job!
That diaper cake is so cute! Hopefully no one tried to eat it! ;)
Now I'm off to wreck havoc on your dip...
The dip sounds delicious. And the diaper cake is tooo adorbale.
Yum - love onion dips! Fabulous diaper cake!
The diaper cake looks great! My daughter saw one for the first a couple weeks ago and was totally freaked out thinking it was to eat!!
I love a good onion dip and the diaper cake looks awesome! So girly.
Just wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog! Your dip looks delicious and your diaper cake is absolutely precious!!!
The dip looks yummy. I have no self control when it comes to french onion dip and chips, and this looks hundreds of times better than that, so it could be dangerous for me.
I love those Diaper cakes, I think they are sooo cute. I want to have a baby just to get one! LOL!!
I gotta try that onion recipe. It looks yummy.
Hi Julie!
I meant to write you earlier today to ask your advice on something, but I got distracted...
I am going to make something to take to an office of about 40 people to thank them for helping out with Relay. I thought I would make things for them to have at their morning break. Can you give me some ideas? All I have come up with are muffins, sausage balls and your wonderful FRUIT salad! What else? or what instead?
Thanks for your comment...he really IS quite the 13 month old HUNK!

Oh yummo! Why did you have to comment on my blog (thanks for commenting on my blog, btw!)... now I'll have to wait til after my detox to try all these delectable looking dairy-filled things you have here. Sigh.
If that diaper cake is your 'uninspired' effort... whoa! It's awesome.
Ummm and that previous comment was me. You might recognise this as the blog you visited. Oops, sorry for crashing your neat comments section Julie!
Lilly- I sent you an email

I LOVE onion dip, so this looks fantastic! Fun blog, I'm excited to go exploring!
I've made something similar only no cream cheese and it is yummy -- and addictive!
Thanks for the welcome back in Feb. Glad to be part of the blogging world again!
OMGosh!! That dip looks mouth-watering! Ummmm.. too bad I'm on this diet kick, but in a few months I'm going to have to really try that!
Mmmmm, onion dip.
I can't believe that you were able to pull together that diaper cake, given that you weren't feeling inspired. Your efforts here beat my best attempt on my best day. Seriously. I loved what you created. Your co-worker is one lucky gal.

The cake turned out GREAT!
that sounds decadent and delicious! I'm impressed with the diaper cake, I wouldn't have a clue how to assemble that, but I do enjoy that game at a baby shower.
