Country Bob's Hawaiian Burger and a Giveaway

I was recently contacted by a representative of Country Bob's to see if I would like to try their All Purpose sauce and review it, and of course, I was happy to do it!

I decided to make a Hawaiian burger like I used to get at Backyard Burgers when I lived within driving distance of one. I really miss Backyard Burgers. But I digress.....

I'd like to say how much of the sauce I put in here, but that would be impossible since there was no actual measuring involved. I'd say I put a fair amount, if that helps at all. The sweet tangy taste of the Country Bob's really added something to the Hawaiian-ness I thought, and made it much like those burgers I've been missing.

Now for the giveaway....

The folks at Country Bob say they will send 2 bottles of their product to 2 of you. All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your deepest darkest secret your favorite way to fancy up a burger. This contest will run through Sunday (april 26) at midnight and I'll announce the winner sometime Monday. Probably. Once the winners get back to me with their mailing info I'll pack up my things and move in with them. I mean, I'll get the info to Country Bob's and they will ship your sauce!

P.S. I really DON'T want to know your deepest darkest secrets, just to be clear.

I usually just mix Lipton Onion Soup mix with the ground chuck. That's about as fancy as we get. Oh, and I ALWAYS put potato chips ON my burger as well as beside it!
And BBQ sauce. AND I have put pineapple on it, but I was pregnant then so that may not count.
My deepest, darkest secret is that one night I walked into a nightclub.....nah, that might get Bruce Springsteen into even MORE trouble if that story gets leaked!
Tell Country Bob that I will make him proud if he sends me his sauce. I'm a big talker!
Goodnight~

ohhhh...that burger looks fab! I wonder if I can find one for breakfast somewhere! My fav hamburgers are smothered in blue cheese and a little bit of bacon. But I also adore burgers ala In n' Out, with fried onions and all the fixings! When I lived in Texas I got addicted to burgers with sauces like Country Bob's. I think what I am saying is I like hamburgers regardless of what is on them!

That looks great! I haven't had a Hawaiian Burger in forever! I worked at Red Robin a million years ago and they had one on the menu. Yours looks so much better though!

I also have CB sauce coming my way to review! I have heard nothing but good things!

I would have loved to have a taste of your burger...I bet it was fab!
My Hubby is a big fan of mixing in the Lipton's Onion Soup Mix, but me, not so much...salt and pepper and a charcoal grillin' and I'm good!

my newest favorite way to fancy up a burger is with my husband's homemade guacomole, some wasabi cheese, lettuce, tomato + red onion. yum!

My cousin introduced me to mixing in a packet of ranch dressing mix into the meat, it's good, but I love me a bacon cheeseburger with sauteed onions and BBQ! I can't stray too much from the tried and true.

Man that looks good!

I love making burgers and homemade fries at home..just on the stovetop since I'm still shopping around for a grill.

Anyway, the favorite way to fancy up my burgers is just adding season all to the ground beef before fryin' it up..then added guacamole and a slice of cheese on top before slappin' on the top bun. Yummy for my tummy. A lil lettuce and tomato if I have it on hand.

My email address is in the right column of my blog.

I usually like to add extra cheese on the inside of the burger, that way it doesn't all slide off. Just take a hunk of cheese or pinch of shredded cheese and form the burger around it.

My husband is the burger man, and he hides blue cheese in the middle. YUM!

Rachael has it goin' on. Guac and wasabi would add some serious tang to a burger.

hmmm let's see... I put taco seasoning in someitmes. I recently had some leftover creamy pesto seasoning in the packet and decided to add that in the meat. It was sooo good.

One of my favorite burgers that I had was actually a turkey feta burger. I mixed in crumbled up feta cheese into a pound of ground turkey and grilled them up! I also made some lemon pesto mayo to go with it and put them on rosemary foccacia rolls...YUM!

Oh, and I'm totally a chip-on-burger person too...bbq chips on a cheeseburger are the best! :D

Fry sauce. Yum!! it's a Utah thing I think, but it's so great. I also love sauteed mushrooms on my burgers. and ever since I started cooking more, I can't eat a burger in a restaurant. They're just not good enough!

You burger looks mighty tasty!

Hmm. What I would I do with Country Bob's sauce? I think I'd try doing a riff on my BBQ shrimp dish. Instead of a ton of butter, I'd use less butter, some Country Bob's, a ton of garlic, lots of lemon, and lots of pepper!

Cheers!

I add roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella cheese to them..

Tell Country Bob I love a good mushroom swiss burger. I use Golden Mushroom Campbell's soup with lots of cheese. Yum-O!

Nothing like a green chile cheeseburger for me! I'm from New Mexico, so that has always been a favorite! That would be fresh roasted (NOT CANNED-ick) green chile that has a little salt & pepper mixed in- and the kicker- minced fresh garlic. And notice the spelling of the word chile- that spelling is indicative and authentic to NM- instead of chili. ok, nothing like a little state vegetable lesson...
