Snowflake Cakes

It's pretty much just vanilla cake mix, but I had found this cute little cake pan at Target and wanted to try it out.
For fun and to add a little flavor to the cake, I added a cup of tea made with this apple spice tea in place of the water the cake mix called for. I thought the flavor turned out pretty nice, just a little apple-y.

Hot pink snowflake:

That one looks a little creepy, but the girl liked it.

They look fantastic. If you baked them with a hole in you could hang them up with ribbon.... if they lasted that long.

Hehe...good idea. I would probably eat them off the tree, though.

Ooh very pretty :) I like the unadorned one but i'm sure the frosted cakes were even more yummy.

I liked the plain one best too, that's why I put it at the top :)

So pretty! Did the cake mix come with the pan? I really like the idea of adding the apple tea. Yum!

Tiffany,
No the pan came by itself...you know how at the front of Target they have the "bargain bins"? That's where I got it. And the cake was just Betty Crocker or whatever.

Love your cute cakes! I love all the fun shapes they are making these days. I can't believe this came from the bargain bins! Target bargin bins are the best!

Those are really cute, with or without the icing. I might have to take a trip to Target, although I'm sure I'll come away with more than a cake mold. It's my weakness. Thanks for stopping by. ;-)
